Celebrating the Fourth..

we spent the fourth at Chris and Dawn's..they live in Hacienda Heights, which is somehow still legal to light your own fireworks. The kids even got to be "lighters" with the Dad's help. The show was extra long this year, Papa Joe bought the fireworks and we had LOTS! I am not sure who had more fun, the kids or the adults. I still have memories of lighting fireworks with our family friends and the finale was always the smokin' semi.

Finally getting to celebrate a fourth of July parade...kids thought it was super cool. It was a perfect small town parade complete with candy thrown from floats, horses, small cars and a donkey! The best part was the water fights between the floats and parade watchers. Ethan wants to come armed next year with his own squirt gun. Raquel is planning to be in the parade next year on Papa Butch's taxi...The only bummer was that Drew and Luke were too sick to be here...and Jett and Lila were probably.....sleeping!

We're Back!!

After a LONG break, we found the camera and computer and can post pictures!
This is a perfect pic of our new life here in Murrieta...
1. Ethan on a tractor with a shaved country hairdo ( I fought this)
2. Ethan chose his ensemble today..shirt that he had previously been wearing
for 2 or 3 days straight. Found on floor in a pile and he decided this would be
the shirt to wear again. We do have a washer and he does have drawers with many
clean t-shirts in case you are wondering.
3. Notice the red and maroon color combo of the shirt and shorts...? Ethan has fully
embraced country life.
